About the project:
Perfectia is an interactive theatre production set in a dystopian future where humanity lives confined to shared cubicles and escapes into a virtual metaverse built around the pursuit of perfection. As the characters become immersed in this digital world, the audience takes on the role of its users, influencing the narrative through live voting and becoming part of the system the performance seeks to question.
Concept:
Perfectia explores the relationship between physical and virtual realities through an interactive scenic language inspired by video game mechanics. The design dissolves the boundary between audience and performers, turning spectators into active participants within the fictional metaverse and reinforcing the play’s reflection on digital identity, social validation, and the pursuit of perfection.
Proposal:
The scenography is built around modular spatial elements that encourage audience interaction while creating a flexible environment that shifts between the physical world and the digital realm. Structured costumes blur gender distinctions and share the same neon-inspired palette as the projections and lighting, creating a cohesive visual identity that reflects the immersive universe of Perfectia.
